KUALA LUMPUR: In conjunction with Matta Fair 2024, Sime Darby Rent-A-Car (SDRAC), the exclusive franchise license holder for Hertz and Thrifty Car Rental in Malaysia, has announced several rental deals and promotional offers to commemorate Thrifty Malaysia’s 10th anniversary.
At the March 22-24 Matta Fair, visitors can buy car rental e-vouchers at the SDRAC-Thrifty Malaysia booth at Level 1, Domestic Hall at Mitec here.
These e-vouchers unlock a 50% Matta Fair discount and an additional 10% anniversary celebration discount.
With this promotion, customers can rent cars for as low as RM62 a day, excluding insurance and SST.
The e-vouchers must be redeemed by March 31 via Thrifty Malaysia’s booking channels.
However, customers can use them anytime between March 25 and Sept 30 for domestic travel destinations where Thrifty Malaysia rental services are available.
Additionally, customers who buy the e-vouchers in a single receipt with a minimum spend of RM250 are eligible to participate in a lucky draw.
The following prizes are up for grabs:
> 1x First prize of five-day free EV car rental, inclusive of the Super Liability Reduction Option (SLRO) and a Touch ‘n Go e-voucher worth RM300
> 1x Second prize of four-day EV free car rental, SLRO and a Touch ‘n Go e-voucher worth RM200
> 1x Third prize of three-day EV free car rental, SLRO and a Touch ‘n Go e-voucher worth RM100
> 30x Consolation prizes of Touch ‘n Go e-vouchers worth RM100 each
SDRAC-Thrifty Malaysia will also be extending its promotion for online booking, which will be available via the Thrifty Malaysia website and mobile app, as well as on Lazada at the MATTA Fair.

The celebration of Thrifty Malaysia’s 10th anniversary and the launch of its promotional activities was officiated by Mohamed Amin Yahya, the senior director of Domestic Division and Event of Tourism Malaysia.

SDRAC operates the Hertz and Thrifty vehicle rental franchise in Malaysia and manages close to 3,000 vehicles, representing one of the largest fleets in South-East Asia.
